How to delete your personal data from our application

1. Your Right to Data Deletion

At Lenormand Life, we respect your privacy rights and your control over your personal data. Under applicable data protection laws including the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. This page explains how you can exercise this right.

2. How to Delete Your Data

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data yourself in a few clicks:

  1. Sign in to your account
  2. Go to the Pricing page
  3. In the "Need Help?" section at the bottom, select Delete Account and confirm

Your account and all associated data are deleted immediately, and any active subscription purchased on our website is cancelled automatically. If you have trouble accessing your account, contact us at andy@lenormand.life for assistance.

3. What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon processing your deletion request, we will remove the following data associated with your account:

  • Account information (email, username, password hash)
  • Reading history and saved readings
  • Personal preferences and settings
  • Usage statistics and interaction data
  • Any other personally identifiable information

4. Processing Timeline

Deletion takes effect immediately. When you confirm deletion from your account, your account and associated data are removed right away, subject only to the limited exceptions described in Sections 5 and 6 below.

5. Important Considerations

Please be aware of the following before submitting your deletion request:

  • Irreversible Action: Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered
  • Account Termination: Full data deletion will result in the permanent closure of your account
  • Active Subscriptions: Subscriptions purchased on our website are cancelled automatically when you delete your account. Subscriptions purchased through a mobile app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) are not, and must be cancelled separately in your device's subscription settings
  • Legal Retention: Some data may be retained as required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes)
  • Aggregated Data: Anonymous, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics

6. Data Retained for Legal Compliance

Certain data may be retained after your deletion request to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or as otherwise permitted by law. This includes transaction records, which we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes for up to 7 years. Any retained data will be securely stored and only accessed when legally required.

7. Verification Process

Because account deletion is performed from within your signed-in account, your identity is verified when you sign in. This ensures that only the account holder can delete the account, and no separate verification step is required.
